Oneonta Job Corps Academy is the country's most extensive nationwide residential career training program and has been operating for over 50 years. The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, and assists them with obtaining employment. Job Corps has trained and educated over two million individuals since 1964 in multiple different trades: medical trades (Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, and Medical Administrative Assistant), Automobile trades (Auto Body and Auto Technician), Construction Trades (Tile Setting, Cement Mason, and Electrical), and our advanced trades (Overhead Line, Rural Underground Distribution, SMART Meter, and our Drone Program). OJCA provides free housing, meals, counsel, and more.
